"this is an open road song..."

I just walked into my bedroom and it smells like chlorine from my swimming suit. Mmm. The smells of summer. :)
I've thought of a bunch of things to blog about over the last week but I didn't have internet, and now those thoughts are gone. I'll blog about my trip for now. That most likely means a bunch of pictures :)
Logan and I decided to take a trip to St George on Friday to see the house his parents bought down there as their snowbird house. His sister and her husband and two kids Gavin and London (i love those names) came up from Vegas and we hung out with them for a couple days and went to Zion. The little kids call Logan "Uncle Logo" and me "Kan-trina" and they're adorable.

Two best discoveries on the trip:
There are now fruit roll ups that are pre-cut into star shapes and taste like fruit by the foot :) mmmmmm
I found and bought Battletoads!
It was a fun trip but we had to get back because I figured I should probably find somewhere to move, seeing as I'm supposed to be out of my apartment in a week or so. Luckily, I found a girl in the building next to mine who needs another roommate, so I'm just going to move in there :) How convenient. Hurray for no hassle!
Also, The Goo Goo Dolls came out with their new single off their new album, so yay for that, too! huh. It's shaping up to be a pretty good week...

"and we all return to our roots"

i spent the day with my family for mother's day and we took a trip to see my grandparent's, and then hung out at my parent's house.
we got to have little nathan with us all day, and it was fun to see how big he is getting. he points at stuff all the time to tell you what he wants, and where he wants to go and then grins at you when you do it. he's such a happy kid.

he's also very big into walking. he squirms until you put him down and then he'll grab onto your hands and just go trotting along. its adorable.

I am Iron man...

I'm finally out of class for the semester! I know, that lasted like, weeks longer than everyone else. Yesterday was my last day of my drum class though, so I'm officially out. Oh! And I got way good grades, too. Which is surprising, considering I kinda burned out there at the end.
After class I went with Logan to a rehab center in Spanish Fork that asked him to come play and sing for them. We went and everyone got in a circle and listened and sang along and they were all really friendly and nice.
We decided to go see Iron Man 2 last night to celebrate freedom from school, and also ran into my cousins at the theater, so we watched it with them. I kinda wish I'd re-watched the first one before I went. Not because you need to at all, but just because I couldn't really remember it. Anyway, it was good, I liked it.
This morning my sisters chopped 10+ inches off their hair to donate to locks of love. I went with them to supervise, and seriously considered getting a pixie cut. I'm growing my hair out because I really do want it long, but every time I see a really cute really short cut I want it! We'll see how long I last.

On my way home I stopped at the glorious Winco that just opened in front of my apartment building, and they had samples out like Costco...only, WAY better! There were pop tart samples and fruit by the foot samples, drinks, etc. It felt like my dream store. That place is great.
