A couple years ago I was introduced to the Twilight series. It had been awhile since I'd read a story with any kind of falling in love plot line, and it was entertaining to read. I think mostly because it was like reading someone's journal or listening to someone else's thoughts. I didn't think much of the obsessiveness in the story, it just seemed like reading something from a middle schooler's perspective, where everything is the end of the world if it doesn't work out. Anyway, it's a super easy read and you just kind of breeze through them and that's that. My Mom absolutely hated them from the start. I don't think she even bothered reading after the first book.
So, years have passed and here we are. The whole movie thing is ridiculous, obviously, and sometimes I forget that the whole twilight thing didn't used to be really annoying. I mean before the movies existed. Anyway, somehow I keep seeing people comment on things or hearing people actually say they like the movies. I don't get it. I mean, in all seriousness I cannot comprehend how you could watch those movies and end up with "i really like them." It's...it's just...how?!
So anyway. Last night we went to Target and as we were wandering around, I saw a whole section dedicated to lunchboxes, books, movies, necklaces, whatever else you can think of devoted to the series. As I was walking by, suddenly a bracelet caught my attention- you know, those rubbery ones that everyone used to wear- I think they got popular with those "livestrong" sayings. I was curious as to what this one said, so I went in for a closer look.
