"The ever passing moment"

so, just a few things. I moved into my new place and I have 2 new roommates. One is from Kenya and has a cool accent. She talks in Swahili a lot when she's on the phone and when her friends come over. It's awesome to listen to.
the other one is from Melbourne, FL but she's lived in tons of places including other countries.



I had my birthday last Friday and among other things Logan got me these super fly rain boots I've been wanting:

  When I first saw them at the store I was trying to justify getting them since I'm living in a state where it doesn't rain often, and the sales girl told me she didn't like them. When I gave my best shocked face and asked how that was possible she nonchalantly shrugged and said "meh. I hate converse." ....?!? I didn't even know that was possible! Who hates converse?! Ridiculous. Anyway- I love them and now I get to go puddle jumping since we've had rain lately!

Nathan had a birthday! I can't believe he's 1 already. He was just as fun as ever at his party, and we got to celebrate with all the little ones.

"just keep swimming, just keep swimming..."

little Nathan came over today and we went swimming. He got in and started splashing his little hands and kicking his feet. It was super cute. He's a natural.

"I bet you think this song is about you..."

Ahem. For my birthday today, feel free to speak nicely of me amongst yourselves.
and by amongst yourselves I mean to me.
...what? Maybe I like feeling loved.
just don't go tellin' everyone. i have a reputation to keep up.

This was taken for-ever ago, at Sunny's first birthday party. The file says 8/23/2005. Look how adorable little Mae Mae is. :) Um, story? I'm pretty sure this was my first time meeting BJ's other relatives besides immediate family. Also, I got the comment from either his Dad or a grandparent, I can't remember, that my hat was either on sideways or my head was. I might've straightened it out a little after that...
I forgot how little she was then, she's all grown up now! But still just as cute :)
