"the best sneetch on the beach..."

Dear Mister Sneetch,
I realize you have been with me, riding along wherever I go for about a year now, but I never realized you hated the cold just as much as me until a couple mornings ago when I scraped away the snow and discovered this sad sad sight:

I guess you'll be havin a bit lighter step these days now that you've shed some pounds...at least you got to keep your star belly.
Just keep hangin on a little longer, buddy...I'll get you to warm weather soon.

Sincerely,
your best plain-bellied non-sneetch friend

"never take friendship personal"

sometimes I wonder how I got the friends I have.

I just logged on to facebook and my entire news feed was filled with either statuses about football or sports in general, or electronics- more specifically, the debates between whether apple's new product is the greatest thing ever or not. Everything is a copy...of a copy..of a copy.

boring.

guess it's time to study...and make more unique and interesting friends.

"Cuz, I've been disconnected! Someone pulled the plug. Oh, you're so distant, nothing's come along..."

As some of you might know, I..am a blog stalker. I love blogs. It's like getting to read someone's journal. If you have a blog and I know about it, consider yourself stalked. I can't help it!
Blogging, on the other hand, takes a little more effort. I like blogging, I just don't always have stuff worth writing about. Since school started I have gotten so far behind on both blogging and blog-stalking, but I think I have finally caught up. I've spent hours reading posts that have gone on since new years. I consider it time well spent...and now I know what's going on with all you lovely people. :) Well, at least as much as you've shared with the world through your writing. A lot of my conversations seem to stem from "I was looking at so-and so's blog, and..." That reminds me of Meg Ryan in You've Got Mail. " So much of what I see reminds me of something I read in a book, [blog] when shouldn't it be the other way around?" Maybe I'm a better internet friend than a real-life friend. How sad.
Anyway, things have happened that I've thought about writing about, but there was always a reason not to yet. It's like when you haven't written in a journal for-ever and then when you start back up you feel like you have to summarize the last however long its been, you can't just start from that day....does anyone else have that problem? I do. Anyway, this is like that. I felt like I had to wait until I had pictures and enough things to write about to seem interesting, but I was just thinking about it, and honestly, who is going to want to read a post from me about a million things at once? I should space these out.
Since this blog is already turning out to be forever long, I will just say all that I've said and that more posts will be coming soon :) thank you for all your wonderful blogging I get to read. howd'ya like that, a whole blog without really saying anything. sorry guys. Until next time...

oh, and p.s.- Cassidy, remember when you sent out that people of the walmart email? yeah, I know the guy on the front page of peopleofwalmart.com today. Hahaha. Never thought I'd be able to say that, but it makes me laugh :)

"rock got no reason, rock got no rhyme...you better get me to school on time.."

It's the first day of school again....

which means first day of school pictures. I decided against the traditional on the front porch picture because let's face it...it's way too cold outside to be posing for pictures. This'll have to do.

It's okay...you can be jealous of my awesome shoes. They deserve it.

Also, Happy Birthday to Mom and Melinda! :)

"I'm not trying to sound so insincere, but the postcard that's taped to the freezer reads: "Wish you were here.""

oh jeez. what to blog, what to blog....I feel like I have been neglecting Mingo (my laptop- for those of you newcomers). I haven't really bothered to get online in awhile and now I feel all disconnected from everyone. What's new?
Christmas was awesome because I went to my parent's house and Isaac, Carly, and Nathan were up there and I got to play with them all weekend. That was the best, I can't get enough of those little kids. I wish I had pictures but all the pictures I took were with other people's cameras. Just trust me when I say they were all adorable!

This past month has been a pretty good one, despite the freezingness. I've been about ready for that business to stop since before it started. I miss Florida. Summary since the last time I wrote- We went and saw Avatar 3D in Imax- I went in with very low hopes and came out happy. It was surprisingly good...Surprisingly because I thought it looked lame. We also watched all the old school Christmas claymation movies which are the only Christmas movies I really enjoy watching. Side note: I want a penguin named Topper. Oh! speaking of adorable, Logan made me a blanket. It's super cute, I love it.

Last weekend we went up to Salt Lake City with my friend Jonny and this girl Emily and froze to death while looking at the Christmas lights. The only picture I have of that event is from my phone because Logan took pictures on his camera, and my fingers were way to frozen to bust my camera out, too.You can't tell in this picture, but is was super foggy up there.

Most of the time we couldn't even see the tops of the pillars, it was very creepy and cool looking. I like fog. After that, we went to IHOP for delicious breakfast food and then we all met up with Robyn and her husband and bought stuff and made gingerbread (ahem...graham cracker) houses- I think the pictures will tell the stories there.

Robyn and Justin made a bungalow...

Jonny made a house that had the roof cave in and turned into a construction zone, complete with yellow construction tape and little gummy bear victims...

And Logan and I made a trailer park house. :)
Now that Christmas is over and I've got my grades from this semester, I guess I should be thinking about what's coming next. School, the New Year, that sort of thing. I should be mentally preparing, if nothing else...but I'm not. Not just yet. We'll see what happens... Did I mention I miss Florida? I'm homesick again.
