"i'm a troublemaker, never been a faker..."

I keep thinking of things I need to blog, but when I sit down to actually type it up I forget them. Of course.

This last week has been a busy one. This was me:

I put in my 30 days notice last month, after only living in my new apartment for the summer, and I wasn't sure where I was gonna go. Logan decided to put in his 30 days notice at his place, too, so we had a lot of packing and cleaning to do. Especially since he's been living in a 2 bedroom house all to himself for a couple years. Lots of stuff....which resulted in this being me:

Anyway, so it was time to move out and you know how that goes, you're trying to get everything spotless to get as much of your deposit back as you can. Somewhere along the way I bought some new topsoil and sand for Michelangelo's house, and decided one night that I'd change it out for him. I took him out, set his heat lamp down, brought him outside and proceeded to scrub out his house. 15 minutes or so later I decided to go inside and get his rock I usually keep in his house.
As soon as I walked in Logan's house I smelled burning. I called outside to him and told him it really stunk and he called back to check and see if he left the oven on. He had. I flipped it off and continued back to the room, where it smelled stronger and stronger until I rounded the corner and saw smoke coming from the carpet. Yeah...um...the heat lamp had burned a hole through Logan's carpet. Whoops. It was a pretty big hole. kind of disastrous. The day before his clean check. Sigh.
So that was that.

The next day we drove up to Idaho. We were only going to be gone for a day, so I left Mikey in Orem. When we got back I walked into the room where Mikey was and checked on him, and he looked at me sweetly and innocently. I remembered he needed some food, so we drove to Smiths and picked him up some. When we got back, we walked in the house and there was Mikey, crawling across the floor to greet us. Naughty turtle...the little troublemaker escaped! We decided to watch him and see how he was doing it.
He teeter totters himself right over the side and he did it twice more before we left. I tried to catch it on video but he was too quick for me. Guess we'll be building him a new house...escape-proof.

Anyway, we're out of Utah now. Peace out guys. I'll be back to visit the cutest little nephews and niece ever that are still residing there. Until then...
